An argument about splitting the bill puts chef Cloyce on the outs until he bonds with the boys and finds his place in the crew; the deck team struggles during a tender lesson; a severe sail causes bottles of liquor to crash all over the boat.

[00:00:11] Welcome to Reality Tea Times Two, the podcast where we discuss all the trash reality TV we love to hate. I'm Tanyka. And today we're going to be just quickly, very quickly discussing Below Deck Sailing Yacht. There's really only two major points I want to talk about in this episode. So there won't be like a full thing, kind of what I've been doing. I only kind of want to talk about these two main points here. And again, I don't think this episode is going to be very long.
[00:00:41] Um, maybe only about 10 minutes or so. So it won't be too, too long. But, um, yeah, let's just get into it. So the main topics I'm going to be talking about here, really and truly the main people I'm going to be talking about here is Emma and Cloyce. So let's get into it. Let's talk about Emma first. So Emma, I like her. I think she's great. I think she's a hoot.
[00:01:11] But she's great. But she's very inexperienced. As we know, she's only doing this for a year. And to see Gary actually get really frustrated that she doesn't even really know the basics and things that she should know.
[00:01:30] Things like, like, if I was in my job a year in, it's kind of the equivalent of me not knowing the basic court documents after a year.
[00:01:42] Or the basic court or my windows court, this litigation process after a year is just not gonna fly. You know? And, but at this point, like, she should have a little more understanding.
[00:01:59] And kind of the main things that are kind of missteps for her is not tying the tender properly. The tender has been through enough of a beating that it doesn't need to have more of a beating and basically be hitting up against the boat and dinging up the boat.
[00:02:17] I can't remember if it doesn't need to have a beat up against the boat. I can't remember if it's not going to be a big deal or the tender.
[00:02:22] But either way, like, it's not good. And that is a misstep on her part.
[00:02:27] And the thing that drives me a little bit nuts about her is the kind of, like, well, I mean, this kind of, it's not really a big deal type situation.
[00:02:35] Or, you know, maybe he shouldn't get on me so hard. But you're making, I think, fairly amateur kind of mistakes.
[00:02:47] I don't want to say rookie because she kind of has a rookie. But it's, like, amateur mistakes. And it's, like, you, um, that's kind of unacceptable at this point.
[00:02:59] And the other thing that happened, I think he said, like, to untie. I think he said the bow line, I believe. But she went to the opposite. She went to the stern instead of going to the bow or vice versa, whichever way it was.
[00:03:13] And again, these are things that she should know, you know, after a year of doing this. And Gary kind of makes, like, a point here of kind of being, like, I think she thinks this was, like, party time or she's not taking this seriously.
[00:03:26] Seriously. And I don't think she is taking this seriously. I do believe that she thinks this is fun. And yes, it can be fun and whatever. But it's not just about the fun. You have a job to do. And you need to be doing it efficiently. And if you're not going to do it efficiently, then why are you here?
[00:03:51] Personally, as much as I like Emma and I think she's a hoot, I personally don't think she's going to make it. I think if she does, if she keeps it the way she's going and she doesn't make improvements, she's getting fired. I hope not. I hope she can get her act together. But if she doesn't, she's going to get fired.
[00:04:12] But that's basically that with Emma. Again, very quick. We're going to spend a little more time with Cloyce. So Cloyce. Cloyce, again, if you remember, is our chef. Young. Maybe he has, I mean, there's only so much experience he can have because he's only 22. But, you know, whatever.
[00:04:32] And he's really good at what he does. He does really well. There hasn't been really a single complaint about the food. But he's provided. He's been doing a pretty good job with that.
[00:04:47] The things with him that kind of drive me a little nut. It's the first thing is this fascination or infatuation he seems to be having towards Daisy. And the thing is, it's like, my guy, she's who she is and you are who you are.
[00:05:06] And if you really think that, like, Daisy is not like, she's not old by any means. But she's like 34, 35, maybe even 36. And you're 22. Do you really think that Daisy is going to spend any time with you?
[00:05:27] I mean, Gary is closer to her age and she still wants nothing to do with him because he still has the maturity level of a 22 year old. So it's just like, no, she's going to go from Colin to you? I don't think so.
[00:05:45] And that kind of drives me a little bit nuts because I'm like, okay, have your crush or whatever. But it's like, come on, you gotta know.
[00:05:55] Anyway, that's besides the point though. Let's go back to the real reason that I am talking about Cloyce. And that is, actually, there's actually someone else I'm going to talk about as well. We'll get to that in a minute.
[00:06:08] Cloyce. Cloyce thinks he's doing a really, like, great job. And he thinks that he, and he is, and he thinks that he works really hard because it's hard.
[00:06:20] And they're going to be doing this kind of floaty thing out on the water for these guests. And the guests seem really nice too.
[00:06:30] And Cloyce is like, oh, it'd be really fun to get out there and do that.
[00:06:38] Whose dumbass idea was it for Cloyce to leave the boat to do anything? Sir, you are the chef. You're not only chefing for these guests, but you're also chefing for the crew.
[00:06:52] What? And someone says, like, well, they're having lunch at four o'clock after they come back from whatever they're doing.
[00:07:00] Like, you're going to have the food ready in time.
[00:07:02] And he goes, oh, yeah. Like, yeah. You know, this is done. And I'm going to put the salmon.
[00:07:07] And there's something other meat that he says you're going to put in the oven.
[00:07:11] You're just leaving it in the oven to potentially dry out and overcook.
[00:07:16] What's going on? You know what I mean?
[00:07:22] So he gets to go on the excursion.
[00:07:27] I'm just like, what?
[00:07:30] And at first he gets away with it for maybe, like, I'm going to do like an hour or so that he gets away with it.
[00:07:36] But at the same time, I'm thinking, OK, but the guests aren't eating right now.
[00:07:41] But don't the crew have to eat? Like, what's going on?
[00:07:45] And, you know, they're talking.
[00:07:46] We kind of see, like, Daisy's kind of, she was on break, but then she kind of comes back around.
[00:07:52] And we have to see kind of Glenn is kind of walking around, kind of being like, you know, the guests don't want to eat at four o'clock when they come back.
[00:07:59] It's getting close to that.
[00:08:01] It's about, I don't know exactly what time it was, but maybe about an hour or so out from lunch.
[00:08:07] And he's looking around, he's looking around.
[00:08:08] He's like, where is Cloyce? Like, where is he at?
[00:08:12] And some, I think he's at over the walkie.
[00:08:15] And it was Gary who says, oh, he's outside.
[00:08:18] He's out there with guests.
[00:08:20] And Glenn's like, what the fuck?
[00:08:23] He didn't say that.
[00:08:24] He says, what do you mean?
[00:08:26] What?
[00:08:27] Get him back here.
[00:08:28] Like, he's like, what is he thinking?
[00:08:30] He is not a guest.
[00:08:32] He is an employee.
[00:08:34] And as the employee who is a chefing, you're supposed to be chefing and not conoodling with the guests.
[00:08:45] He's in so much trouble.
[00:08:48] So much trouble.
[00:08:49] I mean, I've never seen a chef walk away from chefing to go conoodle with the guests.
[00:08:59] I has never seen.
[00:09:01] Marcus would have never.
[00:09:02] I miss him.
[00:09:05] Anyways, I'm fine, y'all.
[00:09:09] But anyway, I'm just like, what is happening?
[00:09:13] Again, it kind of, he wants to be like, oh, you know, I know I'm 22.
[00:09:17] But I, you know, I have all this, you know, majority or whatever.
[00:09:22] No, you don't.
[00:09:23] You've proven right here you don't.
[00:09:25] You've proven that you're more about the trip, the vacation than anything else.
[00:09:34] Because doesn't he say something around the lines of, oh, you know, bringing in Ibiza's
[00:09:39] air or something like that.
[00:09:41] Like, you know, he wants, this is why he came, no, he came here to a job.
[00:09:44] Not to, you know, again, breathe in Ibiza's air and conoodle with the guests.
[00:09:52] Like, this is stupid.
[00:09:53] And he is acting like he is a guest.
[00:09:56] He's not acting like he is a paid employee.
[00:10:00] He, so, I don't think they're going to fire him.
[00:10:06] He's gonna get a warning.
[00:10:07] I don't think he'll do it again.
[00:10:09] Who knows, though?
[00:10:11] So it's, I think he'll be fine for now.
[00:10:15] But grow up, man.
[00:10:19] Anyway, that's it for Cloyce.
[00:10:21] Again, I said I was gonna talk about this really quickly.
[00:10:24] And then, because I thought, oh, yeah, let's talk about that for a minute.
[00:10:26] But Danny, Danny, my girl, is a perfectionist.
[00:10:32] And she cries when things don't look right or go her way.
[00:10:35] In this case, she's crying about the decor of the table for dinner.
[00:10:42] She's pissing and moaning about doing cabins.
[00:10:46] Which she doesn't want to.
[00:10:47] But just like Daisy says, like, you were all doing cabins.
[00:10:50] Except for me.
[00:10:51] I'm not doing cabins, but everyone else is.
[00:10:56] Like, this is your job.
[00:10:59] No one is, no one person is doing service or no one person is doing cabins or housekeeping.
[00:11:07] They're doing both.
[00:11:09] So it's kind of ridiculous that she thinks that she's not gonna have to.
[00:11:17] But what she thinks pissing and moaning about doing cabins is going to accomplish.
[00:11:22] She's a spoiled brat.
[00:11:24] Danny is.
[00:11:25] And I think she needs to do a little bit of therapy to find out why she is such a flirt.
[00:11:34] Not that there's anything wrong with being a flirt.
[00:11:36] But I think she really does lead with her sexuality and her good looks.
[00:11:44] And that's a problem.
[00:11:46] Because you have so much more to offer than those two things.
[00:11:50] Those two things are fairly superficial.
[00:11:53] So I don't know, man.
[00:11:55] I don't dislike her.
[00:11:57] I do like her, to be totally honest.
[00:12:00] But I think, like, yikes.
[00:12:03] The other one, I can't remember her name right now.
[00:12:06] Oh, I think it's Deanna, right?
[00:12:08] She, um, she's good at her job.
[00:12:11] She's pretty level-headed.
[00:12:13] She gets it.
[00:12:15] She understands the assignment.
[00:12:16] But anyway.
[00:12:18] That's basically it, though, for Burlow Deck.
[00:12:20] Sailing Yacht was a decent episode.
[00:12:23] So we'll see what comes from the next one.
[00:12:28] But again, yes, that is it for this episode.
[00:12:31] So like I've said, we have caught up with Love is Blind.
[00:12:35] Really dedicated all the time to get through that episode that we have neglected all the other episodes.
[00:12:41] So we're going to be hopping in with the next episodes that we have to do.
[00:12:47] So I think with that being said, I'm going to head over to Golden Bachelorette and get through those episodes first.
[00:12:56] Just do the catch-up.
[00:12:57] And then we'll decide where we're going to go from there.
[00:13:01] Again, Merida First Sight is one that's kind of been completely backburned at this point.
[00:13:06] Whether or not I'm going to be covering it, I haven't fully decided yet.
[00:13:10] I probably, at this point, I'm probably going to cover it as bonuses.
[00:13:15] But again, it's just not been really something that has been in the forefront for me.
[00:13:22] And honestly, I don't really know if I want to cover it.
[00:13:25] But we'll see how it goes as time goes on with Blodger.
[00:13:30] I haven't even, I'm telling you guys straight up, I haven't even watched it.
[00:13:32] I don't know what's happening, if anything is happening.
[00:13:35] It's just this season was really, the last season was really, just, it really shit the bed.
[00:13:40] And I think it, they should have scrapped the entire season.
[00:13:43] That's just how I feel.
[00:13:44] But anyway.
[00:13:46] So yeah, Merida First Sight is still going to be taking a backburner to everything else at this point.
[00:13:51] It's because I just don't have the motivation.
[00:13:55] So yes, anyways, Golden Bachelorette is the next thing that you can expect.
[00:13:59] And we'll get through that.
[00:14:01] And I think we're about three or two or three episodes behind with Golden Bachelorette.
[00:14:07] So yeah, that will be well discussed in that episode.
[00:14:10] But anyways, that is it for this episode.
[00:14:15] So if you like what you heard, please rate, review the podcast on either Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
